Construction Foreman - Roads & Drainage (Milton, GA)

*Tri Scapes, Inc. is seeking a Roads and Drainage Foreman for Milton Public Works*
Reports To: Area Manager
Job Summary: Public Works Foreman plans, organizes, assigns, and oversees City-issued work and the maintenance crews who execute this work. The Foreman is responsible for managing the City's work order system and disseminating work orders to his teams. He will oversee the site's fleet, the various machines, and the fleet and equipment maintenance program. He will ensure safe work practices and a clean and organized operating headquarters. Alongside the Area Manager, the Foreman will develop and implement a training program for his labor force.
Additionally, the Foreman must possess good customer service skills, be able to coordinate with City officials and inspectors, possess / obtain knowledge of the municipality, have experience with concrete, asphalt, and stormwater repairs.
Daily Responsibilities (Including but Not Limited To):
  • Ensuring teams conduct routine equipment and fleet maintenance
  • Overseeing work order assignments and completion
  • Repairing minor equipment problems. Notifying company mechanic of major equipment repairs
  • Communicating with crew throughout and at end of the day
  • Planning and preparing for following workday
  • Maintaining organized, safe, and clean shop
  • Maintaining organized, safe, and clean breakroom
  • Ensuring crews are in uniform: Company shirt, boots, vest, and safety glasses
  • Ensuring crews clock in and out of ADP; Informing Director when timecard problems arise
  • Supervising field team
  • Supervising other construction / enhancement work
Weekly Responsibilities (Including but Not Limited To):
  • Providing Manager with bi-weekly updates
  • Inspecting all equipment
  • Ensuring safety meetings are conducted twice per week
As Directed:
  • Performing 90-day and 1-year performance reviews

Minimum Qualifications:
Education : None required
Experience : 1-3 years field experience
Licenses/Certifications: None required; growth potential for field related certifications
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States. Candidates may be asked to pass a drug test and/or background check depending on location and approval to driving privileges.
