Donor Relations Manager

Our client, a local non-profit organization focused on delivering excellent, equitable education to underserved children, their families, and their communities, is looking for a Donor Relations Manager to join their Portland, OR. team.

Type: Contract – Duration 6 Months

Payrate: $29.30 - $36.39, DOE

Location: Onsite, Portland, OR.

Responsibilities of Donor Relations Manager:
Develop and implement an annual fund development plan and measure and report progress towards achieving goals.
Lead individual donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship by attending key meetings, events, and programs.
Lead point of contact for all major investors.
Oversee coordination of database and tracking systems and grants.
Direct and manage all annual fundraising events and campaigns, working with all necessary staff and contractors to ensure successful events including:
Manage Major Gifts program with a recognition component.
Work with CEO to engage the Board of Directors and Investment Council to increase major gifts with focus on cultivating existing investors and multi-year gifts.
Manage and coordinate communication with all major investors.
Strategize and implement cultivation techniques to inspire prospective and lapsed investors to invest and also to support the ongoing investors to increase investment.
Introduce planned giving program with a focus on deferred gifts such as bequest expectancies.
Responsible for all standing (weekly, monthly & quarterly) reports and analysis on partners/investors/funders, as needed.
Grow existing business collaboration to develop healthy relationships between the organization and their business.
Help build the annual fund development plan and manage its implementation.
Oversee the design and distribute impact reports, collateral, and other publications.

Requirements of Donor Relations Manager:
BA required.
Minimum four years of work experience in development or related field and proven proficiency in fundraising.
Two years of Managerial Experience Required.
Prior non-profit/education reform experience preferred.
Experience with Fund Development CRMs preferred.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Have knowledge and experience in fundraising techniques, particularly major gift fundraising.
Have the desire to get out of the office and build external relationships.
Highly detail-focused and results-oriented.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multiple constituencies including business leaders, politicians, high net-worth individuals, thought leaders, families, and consultants.
Team-player attitude and strong customer-service orientation.
Excellent organizational, planning, and implementation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
