Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS from AHA only; TNCC Preferred Certifications: Job Details THIS POSITION IS AUTO-OFFER Number of Openings: 1 Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 – must be indicated on submission form Assignment Length: 13 weeks BLOCK SCHEDULE CAN NOT BE ACCOMMODATED ALL CONTINGENCY REQUESTS MUST BE ON THE SUBMISSION FORM Job Requirements Role (RN, Tech, LPN, PT, etc.): RN Specialty: ED/ER Years of Experience: 1 year Emergency Department in a Level 1 or or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility only; this must be indicated on the resume Must Have Skills/Experience: 1 year Emergency Department in a Level 1 or or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility only; this must be indicated on the resume Preferred Skillset/Experience: trauma/ peds, 200 patients/day, high acuity experience preferred Type of Patients on Unit: We are a level one trauma, Stroke, STEMI center and regional burn center Personality Fit: Determined, decisive, flexible Schedule Information Shift: Days, 07:00 - 19:00 Weekend Hours: As required by facility Call Requirements: None Unit Specific Information Unit Details: Number of Beds: 68 Patient Ratios: 4:1 routinely, surge and other circumstances will alter. We do not guarantee ratios. Equipment: EMR: EPIC Additional Details Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards Overview: Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Demonstrated skill in human relations and communications is required. Must have demonstrated clinical expertise in their area of responsibility. Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Stand and walk most of the time on duty. Lift and push patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs. Usually work in a clean, air-conditioned area. Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.
