Inventory Analyst Job Category** : C01 Sr Clericals Requisition Number **: INVEN007129 Showing 1 location Job Details Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Essential position in implementing, and monitoring procedures to ensure that the proper inventory is in all warehouse locations. Audit all areas related to inventory movement for integrity and accuracy to meet strategic objectives. Review inventory investigations and verify the necessary adjustment/actions. Lead the daily cycle count and location verification programs and will assist as requested with inventory auditors both internal/external. Coordinates and generates all inventory count activities for cycle count batch reports and location verification programs to ensure requirements are achieved. Verify and analyze data, close and reconcile discrepancies, approve and update batches to make all necessary inventory adjustments. Investigate, resolve and follow-up on all lift operator requests for inventory adjustments, correction, putbacks, consolidation, and factory loss sheets requested within a 24-hour period. Perform thorough research and document inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and supply possible solutions. Maintain all documents and backup copies in an accurate file system in accordance with audit procedures and company policy. Communicate daily with various departments such as: Packaging Engineering, Manufacturing and Finance. Provides consultation and direction concerning helpdesk calls related to inventory problems. Works with systems group to correct all out of balances and related system issues. Monitor system transactions and identify potential out of balance. Analyze various reports and querys. Report daily and monthly to Management. Coordinates all adjustments for order cancellations for both domestic and export areas. Coordinates special projects, special count investigation and reconciliation. Perform monthly cleanup of all generic locations by running queries such as quantity by location. Train and monitor Personnel assigned to the Inventory Team. EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION Education Minimum two years of college. Experience Minimum of three years experience in a Distribution environment with at lease one year specific to Inventory. Superior knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Knowledge of query database operations is desirable; e.g. Business Objects. Hazmat certification, 5S and any inventory related courses. An organized and motivated individual who can handle multiple tasks concurrently without supervision. Must have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be aware of proper email etiquette. Ability to train and lead people; must be able to work in a team environment.
