We are in search of a Project Engineer with Civil or Environmental experience. Required: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four (4) years of experience (less MAY be considered) and preferably working in or with heavy industry including but not limited to oil and gas, pulp and paper/wood products, and/or chemical industry as well as public sector entities including local, State and Federal agencies; The Engineering candidate shall be a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in at least one (1) southern state with those holding multiple States being considered more-closely. An EIT may be considered also if they have the right experience. Experience planning, designing, developing construction specifications and schedules, and overseeing construction and maintenance of civil, structural and environmental infrastructure. Experience with multi-media environmental permitting and compliance including air, solid / hazardous waste, wastewater, and stormwater. Experience with environmental assessment and remediation for RCRA and CERCLA types projects. Project management experience in civil and environmental projects with past responsibility for developing business to sustain or grow work backlog. General Duties: Candidate will work on assessments, remediation, etc. to support induistrial clients such as oil and gas and pulp and pater. Ensure staff and deliverables are prepared and delivered in strict accordance with client and regulatory requirements;Proven experience in design, project management and engineering verification. Independently plan, perform and coordinate advanced level professional and technical engineering studies, computations, drawings, reports and surveys. Ability to provide technical leadership and mentoring junior to mid-level staff. Ability to prepare technical reports, permit applications, management plans, and project proposals.Ability to perform steadily during peak workload and remain calm under pressure Ability to inspire and drive a culture of inclusive, high performing integrated teams Proficient in the use of a range of computer software programs and models for evaluating and developing detailed designs including CADD, GIS, and hydraulic/hydrologic applications. Proven ability to manage and develop a technical staff of engineers, scientists, planners and/or construction managers and quality assurance technicians; Proven sales experience with ability to develop business with existing and new clients. Exceptional research, technical writing, and verbal communication skills required. Ability to work in harsh environments and conditions ranging from remote forests to open construction sites. Understanding and experience in GIS and GPS technology and equipment are preferred. Self-motivated and capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced team environment. Availability to travel with multiple overnight stays during some weeks.
