Reporting to the Vice President of Manufacturing, the Director of Operations provides the executional management to lead and drive manufacturing for the Memory Solutions Team in Newark, California. The Director of Operations will own the tactical direction of the manufacturing process and will have responsibility for all aspects of manufacturing, assembly and testing, logistics, manufacturing engineering and new product introduction. Responsibilities Provide execution across a diverse manufacturing organization, ensuring that products are manufactured safely and to the highest quality standards and service levels while achieving desired cost improvement goals. Maintain key internal partnerships with Engineering and Test Collaborate with various stakeholders and manage relevant resources (people, plant and processes) to ensure production output and on-time delivery targets are achieved. Develop manufacturing goals and action plans in alignment with strategic initiatives and cascade clear expectations, accountabilities, and reporting mechanisms into the manufacturing organization; Partner closely to develop operations strategy and annual operating plan. Plan, schedule and review workload to ensure production schedules and delivery objectives are achieved cost effectively. In partnership with the leadership team, ensure the manufacturing footprint has the necessary manpower, competence, skills, knowledge, space and equipment required to achieve production objectives. Define and execute continuous improvement strategies and initiatives to achieve business objectives. Effectively manage the flow of materials from Receiving through Manufacturing and Distribution. Develop and execute capacity and staffing plans to achieve supply plan requirements; Apply continuous improvement strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, lead time, and utilization. Define & standardize key operational metrics and goals for all levels of the organization to define success. Ensure compliance to Quality Management System and all applicable company policies and procedures. Provide leadership direction, coaching, and development opportunities to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, career progression, ethical behavior, and a customer-first mindset; Attract, train and develop exceptional talent. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management or equivalent, advanced degree preferred. Minimum 10+ years of manufacturing experience with a minimum 5+ years of leadership experience. Experience with complex computer hardware manufacturing. Highly experienced in a high complexity/low volume production environment. Experience managing complex manufacturing operation Experience in continuous improvement, total quality management, and advanced manufacturing methodologies (Lean Six Sigma certifications a plus.) Deep understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems and practices. Working knowledge of quality management systems. Working knowledge of health and safety requirements and practices. Ability to work effectively with small teams, be very hands on, and work well within an emerging growth technology company. Strong problem-solving abilities, customer service mindset, and excellent communication skills. Ability to build a high-performing team with a proven track record in driving a diverse, inclusive, engaged, and ethical culture. A demonstrated history of being a team player, and desire to jump in and get your hands dirty as needed. Location This is an onsite position at our facility in Newark, California. The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in California is $180,000 - $210,000; the pay ultimately offered within the expected range may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
