Mechanical Engineer - MEP industry

Hire Resolve is working with a reputable MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) company that is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer in the MEP industry, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing mechanical systems for various building projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Designing and developing mechanical systems for building projects, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Conducting calculations, simulations, and analysis to ensure the efficiency, safety, and functionality of mechanical systems.
  • Preparing and reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and other engineering documentation.
  • Working closely with other engineers, architects, and construction teams to coordinate the design and implementation of mechanical systems.
  • Performing site visits and inspections to verify the installation and functionality of mechanical systems.
  • Providing guidance and support during the construction, commissioning, and handover phases of projects.
  • Keeping abreast of industry advancements, codes, and regulations related to mechanical engineering and the MEP industry.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of design processes and practices within the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Previous experience working as a Mechanical Engineer in the MEP industry.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and clients.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design documentation.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and local building regulations.
  • Professional engineering license or working towards obtaining licensure is a plus.
