Job Summary and Qualifications- Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist performs a variety of radiographic procedures.
- Requires a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis.
- Performs tests on in-patients and out-patients, utilizing a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and equipment.
- Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
- Demonstrates proficiency in radiation safety.
What qualifications you will need:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Required
- ACLS must be completed within 6 months of hire
- State Registered Radiologic Technician
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)- AART (NM)
- NMTCB PET Certification preferred
