Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), Beavercreek Ohio, is seeking a Software Engineer/ Principal Software Engineer to support the National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC) on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH . The selected candidate will participate in the entire software development lifecycle with a concentration in software engineering. They will implement solutions in a web-based environment and integrate them into a microservice cloud-based architecture. The candidates will work closely with other software developers accomplishing the following: Support team in completing necessary software on schedule Complete work independently and as a part of an Agile team Solve complex problems through innovative and creative solutions Collaborate with software designers and/or software engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of software systems Regularly demonstrate progress to customers Basic Qualifications for a Software Engineer: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related STEM degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; Masters degree with 0 years; High School diploma with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience An active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Experience with object-oriented programming, using C++ and/or Java Experience with Python or Pandas Experience creating, updating, and querying databases Data-minded, detail-oriented, communicative, willing to learn Basic Qualifications for a Principal Software Engineer: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related STEM degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; Masters degree with 3 years; High School diploma with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience An active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Experience with object-oriented programming, using C++ and/or Java Experience with Python or Pandas Experience creating, updating, and querying databases Data-minded, detail-oriented, communicative, willing to learn Preferred Qualifications: Graph database, such as Neo4j Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) JavaScript, REACT Tableau Git/GitLab Agile development methodologies Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Salary Range: $79,300 - $118,900 Salary Range 2: $97,500 - $146,300 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
