Quality Technician - Reliability Lab

Position Summary:
The Reliability Lab Technician is responsible for conducting tests which verify the reliability and performance of existing products and new products. Perform testing and failure analysis of customer returned products and field failures. Assist with the general maintenance of the Reliability Lab and equipment. In addition to supporting production with quality audits.
Objectives:
  • Reliability testing of new and existing products
    2. Audit finished product using the Reliability Lab equipment and facilities
    3. Perform testing and failure analysis of customer returned products and field failures
    4. Assist in the general maintenance and improvements of the Reliability Lab equipment and facilities.
    5. Record and interpret test data on parts, assemblies, and mechanisms
    6. Support setup and operation of test equipment, data collection and analysis
  • 5S+S (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety) keeping the Reliability Lab safe and organized
    8. Liaison with hourly, supervisory, and technical personnel
    9. Use of computers to operate company systems
  • Perform other tasks as required

Requirements:
Education: Two-year Associate’s Degree or Technical Certificate in a related field.
Experience: 1+ year of relevant experience.
Skills: Requires the use of shop mathematics together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables. Ability to understand and apply a variety of electronic and mechanical instruments. Good hands-on skills with mechanical and/or electrical aptitude. Can learn and apply new information or skills. Analytical and pragmatic approach to troubleshooting.
