This position will be based at our project site in Orlando, Florida.Primary ResponsibilitieConduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, and stormwater systems.Monitor, record and inspect progress on construction projectsConduct or coordinate field materials sampling and testing, including concrete slump and air testing, casting concrete test cylinders, and performing in-place soil compaction testingPerform other duties as neededQualificationsRequired QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalentExperience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong written communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamThis position typically requires successfully passing drug-screening procedures prior to being hired; thereafter subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testingAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustMust obtain FDOT Intermediate MOT within the first six months of the assignmentPreferred QualificationsTechnical school or Associate's degreeSome demonstrated experience in construction inspectionAbility to interpret construction schedulesWhy HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for it's also about what you do and how you do it.
