Summary:

Responsible for planning and organizing Avera’s Long Term Care operations.  Responsible to plan, organize and direct all aspects of the Avera Prince of Peace (APOP) Retirement Community in accordance with the philosophy of the Avera Health and consistent with State, Joint Commission, and any other applicable standards. Coordinates the activities of all departments in providing care that meets the spiritual, emotional, and social need of those served by the community

 

General Hours of Work

  • Monday – Friday
  • Primarily Days with possible evening/weekend involvement

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Nursing or related field required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Must have multi-facility leadership experience in a skilled nursing setting.

Certification, Licensure and/or Registrations

  • Long Term Care Administrators license from the state of South Dakota required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsible include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees.  Planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
