<strong>Position Location: </strong>Lawrenceville, GA preferred<br> <strong>Manager: </strong>National Tooling Manager<br> <strong>Role Level</strong>: Individual Contributor<br> <strong>Manager Once Removed: </strong>Director, Engineering<br> <br> <strong>Purpose of Role</strong> <br> <br>The purpose of this role is to drive growth as a key team member of core NPD project teams, and to advance new tooling and molding technologies. Tooling Engineers work collaboratively with stakeholders during the NPD process, supporting design and development and leading mold build and start up efforts. They also lead the discovery, evaluation and implementation of new tooling and molding technologies focused on improving productivity on the plant floor. This role works cross functionally with Core Design, Operations, PMO, Sales, Category, Quality and Finance.<br> <br> <strong>Areas of Accountabilities </strong> <br> <br> <strong>Manage new mold builds & revisions to drive</strong> <strong> growth through New Product Development.</strong> <br> <ul> <li>Work with internal stakeholders and vendors to build & deliver molds on-time, on-budget and with high satisfaction from our internal and external customers.</li> <li>Partner with the Design team to support the development of new products from idea to tooling ready design, ensuring the designs are suitable for molding.</li> <li>Lead the mold build, start up and production hand off for all new products.</li> <li>Consult with Operations as a SME as needed on all things related to molds and molding.</li> </ul> <strong>Advance molding capabilities and continuous improvement activities.</strong> <br> <ul> <li>Research, evaluate and implement new technologies to build, revise, or repair molds so they run faster, produce better quality, and cost less to service and build.</li> <li>Find and implement ways to build and repair molds more quickly.</li> <li>Use advanced engineering & simulation tools to employ best practices in mold building. </li> </ul> <br> <strong>Drive Transformational and Incremental Innovation, and R&D.</strong> <ul> <li>Research, evaluate and implement new molding technologies which improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.</li> <li>Advance prototype offerings to improve speed to market and reduce risks of pilot programs.</li> <li>Stay on the forefront of tool and molding technology.</li> <li>Maintain a resilient attitude - not afraid to fail, learn, and move forward.</li> </ul> <br> <strong>Maintain strong alignment between internal and external stakeholders.</strong> <br> <ul> <li>Work cross functionally with Core NPD Project Team&bull;s to achieve common and individual project goals.</li> <li>Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the right work is being done in the right phase of the project to improve overall project efficiency and portfolio effectiveness.</li> </ul> <br> <strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Experience</strong> <br> <ul> <li>Degree in Engineering or similar technical field required</li> <li>Moldflow experience a plus</li> <li>Siemens NX experience a plus</li> <li>Injection molding & processing experience preferred</li> <li>Project management experience</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Travel up to 30% annually</li> </ul><img src="https://counter.adcourier.com/YmJnZW5lcmljLjI0MTkzLjEyNTI0QHJlaHJpZ2NvbXAuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif">
