Job Description/Summary

Intensive In-Community Service (IIC) is an analytical, focused goal oriented, and needs based clinical intervention that addresses emotional and behavioral challenges of youth with moderate to high needs. It may be provided in a youth’s home or in an amenable community location by a licensed behavioral health clinician and is intended to stabilize and support the youth and family in an effort to deter more intensive interventions and to support the youth and family in collaboration with the Child Family Team (CFT) or identified support system. This is a short-term, solution focused intervention that addresses presenting behaviors resulting in the youth and her/his family/care giver/guardian gaining insight and improving function at home and in the community. Responsibilities

  • Works flexible hours to meet the consumer’s and the organization’s needs;
  • Effectively provides individual, couple and family therapy within the natural home environment of consumer/family;
  • Therapy may be implemented as intensive parenting skills training with emphasis on effective behavioral management techniques with goals to improve the level of family functioning;
  • Therapy is short-term and therapist will link the family to traditional center-based out-patient therapy, as determined by treatment plan and collateral providers and agencies involved with family;
  • Progress notes need to be entered into Cyber within 24 hours of client contact
  • For MA (LAC and LSW): Assessments, and Treatment Plans must be submitted to the Director of Intensive Community Services for second signature
  • Discharge Summary / Transfer Form must be completed within one week of discharge date along with any referral for continued treatment;

Education

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field from an accredited school.
  • Field experience working with children who have behavioral mental health needs and their families.
  • Must be licensed (LAC, LSW, LPC or LCSW) and in good standing.
  • Bilingual a Plus
