Licensed Practical Nurse - Ambulatory Care Days
Specific Work Responsibilities : Performs various duties associated with patient care, such as assisting patients with general mobility/transfers, using patient care equipment and maintaining supplies, medications and vaccine: performs various nursing functions, such as administering medications (orally, intramuscularly, subcutaneously, sublingually & sub dermally, ensures proper documentation, performing phlebotomy, blood glucose and POCT, and managing Epic Inbasket messages; performs various procedures and tasks (within LPN scope of practice) for infant through geriatric patients.
Mandatory Qualifications : Graduate of an approved School of Practical Nursing; current licensed practical nurse (LPN) licensure in the state of Ohio, including certification to pass medications; Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare provider certification; minimum of one year of experience working as a LPN in an ambulatory setting; experience working with Epic electronic medical records system.
Preferred Qualifications : Experience in obstetrics, pediatrics, and/or cardiology
Network Access and/or Various Apps needed : Epic, Network Pyxis
Required Licenses/Certifications : Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
Work Environment / Physical Requirements : May sit, stand stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day; may need to sit or stand for extended periods; See in the normal visual range, with or without correction; Hear in the normal audio range, with or without correction; Ability to lift pounds with assistance; Ability to push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance; Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids; Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products.
