POSITION SUMMARY:
Act as an effective member of the Technology Team through maintaining professional working
relationships and providing day-day support for St. Rose High School's technology systems. The primary focus of the Support Specialist will be supporting and maintaining all technology solutions on campus, troubleshooting and addressing the hardware & software needs of the faculty and students, and organizing and leading trainings and professional development in the area of technology integration.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot and repair a variety of technology equipment in a multi-vendor environment.
  • Manage Google Apps for Education for the school.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing networking issues.
  • Provide primary technology support and training for building administrative, educational, and support staff via phone, email, or in-person and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Maintain inventory of building technology.
  • Ensure availability and clear communication with building personnel to coordinate activities and resolve issues and concerns.
  • Delivers great customer service while provides direct technical assistance to students, faculty and staff and actively using strong communication skills to explain technology solutions in an easy to understand manner.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and software and pursue relevant professional development.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining district-wide training materials
  • Assist in providing technology training and coaching
  • Assist in building level 1:1 technology initiatives
  • Assist with Windows Software Updates
  • Assist with Active Directory Object maintenance
  • Assist in User Account Creation and Removal
  • Assist in supporting integrated voice and data communications systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Additional responsibilities assigned based on skill and interest as identified by the Director of Technology.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
(EDUCATION, LICENSE, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
  • Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Experience working in a mixed-platform environment.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Experience with 1 or more of Windows, Mac, or Google products and system methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Google Apps for Education and prior experience working in a Chromebook environment.
  • Experience with Smartboards, projectors, and audio/visual systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to perform responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects, motivate professional staff, and manage time.

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday
PAY: $18 - $25 per hour
