**Description**

The Attended Donation Center (ADC) Attendant accepts and sorts donations from the public and issue receipts if requested. Process and secure donations until picked up by a Goodwill truck.

JOB DUTIES:

1. Greets and assists donors with donations upon arrival outside the ADC.

2. Provides the donor with a receipt and always thanks them for the donations.

3. Process donations according to ADC Processing Procedures i.e. items in appropriate carts; make sure shoes have band; wraps cords around electrical items; make sure wet donations are kept in separate cart.

4. Maintains cleanliness at ADC including sweeping inside and outside of center when all carts are pulled out.

5. Breaks down all empty boxes; keeps clean desk top.

6. Keeps all donations inside ADC; ensure trash and debris kept in designated containers.

7. Adheres to safety rules at all times as they apply to job assigned.

8. Reports all accidents to the ADC Manager the same day they occur.

9. Secures ADC at the end of the day.

10. Assists truck driver with loading and unloading truck.

11. Notifies manager of any needed supplies, truck service, and maintenance the center requires.

12. Adheres to Goodwills guiding principles

13. Other duties as assigned by the manager.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

2. Able to maintain balance while lifting, loading or unloading.

3. Ability to separate salable from non-salable donations.

4. Constant public contact.

5. Ability to stand for long periods of time.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

1. Exposure to extreme weather conditions.

INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS:

1. Ability to effectively relate to people with various types of disabilities, personalities and cultural backgrounds.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. HS diploma or GED.

2. Ability to bend, reach and stand for long periods of time.

3. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis.

4. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing and perform basic math skills.

5. Must be willing to work flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
