Job Summary
Shambaugh & Son is looking for a Network Administrator in our Fort Wayne, IN office. In this position you will be responsible for maintaining network servers and technology tools and systems at the main office and all branch locations nationwide.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install and Configure software and hardware
  • Manage network servers and technology tools
  • Monitor performance and mantain systems according to requirements
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models
  • Document playbooks
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of proven experience in an IT environment
  • Related college degree
  • Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Knowledge of:
    • vCenter
    • Windows Server
    • Fedora Server
    • Rocky Linux
    • PowerShell
    • HPE Comware switches
    • HPE ProCurve
    • Palo Alto Firewalls
    • Phone Systems
  • Good understanding of common network services and protocols
  • Strong team player and able to communicate with co-workers regularly
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems
  • Knowledge of network cabling and standards
  • Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
