RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Administering, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining operating system and related software
  • Establishing and implementing standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters
  • Troubleshooting and resolving software, operating system, and networking problems
  • Scheduling and monitoring system backups and, when necessary, performing data recoveries
  • Installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services
  • Training staff on software applicable to their position, assist customers with information technology, monitors system configuration (hardware and software), and provides instruction on computers and applications.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • DoD 8570 IAT II or higher certification
  • Bachelor's level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
  • 3 years professional experience in systems administration
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Responsibilities of this position also include, but are not limited to:
  • Attending mandatory, annual training sessions
  • Providing regular status reports to management summarizing progress, challenges, metrics, and recommendations
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination
  • Attending recurring team meetings or huddles
  • Assisting in the development of new initiatives
