Job Description
The Surgical Services Coordinator is responsible for preparing and maintaining various computer application reports as well as being a key member of various ongoing initiatives as it relates to the Surgical Services departments.
This position collects data and conducts preliminary operational and statistical analysis. The Analyst prepares accurate reports that show data in a meaningful and concise format to be presented at various committee meetings, Atlanticare Leadership as well as surgeons. Reporting includes operational and capital budgets, case volume trending and projections, inventory analysis, chargemaster review, surgical operational efficiency data. The position is also responsible for aiding in the implementation and review of best practice operational and financial efficiency projects as needed. This role acts as an internal consultant to help the Surgical Services Business Director support new and existing businesses and services as needed. Must be extremely organized and have the ability to multi task.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree required.
EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years computer and work experience preferred with the ability to understand, maintain and troubleshoot various computer applications. Highly-developed computer skills required to effectively obtain, manipulate and present data and reports. Excel a must. Powerpoint preferred. Excellent analytical and communication abilities required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury. This position requires desk/computer work for a majority of the time. Requires some walking and standing and occasional lifting up to 20lbs.
