The Opportunity:

VP/ Chief Operations Officer; full-time, in-person position in State College, PA.

We seek a self-motivated, friendly professional with the ability to oversee Credit Union Operations to improve overall employee effectiveness and performance consistent with the credit union's organizational priorities. Develops relevant policies and procedures to ensure that all credit union products and services are professionally distributed, effectively tracked and measured and that quality operational support is provided to all staff and members. Participates in establishing and implementing credit union strategic initiatives as they relate to retail branch operations.

What You’ll Do

Oversees operational functions that support sales and service goals and initiatives. Develop, implement and maintain operational procedures to maximize effectiveness and quality of work and provide consistent quality service to members throughout entire branch network. Responsible for identifying opportunities where digital solutions can support business initiatives. Works with organization leaders to define digital-dependent outcomes. Work with Senior Management team in identifying trends in the industry, instituting new programs or products and evaluating products and services. Works with credit union’s key system vendors and partners to ensure credit union is maximizing all the available tools and resources in order to improve efficiency and productivity. Responsible for reviewing and implementing features included in periodic software updates and other recommendations from vendors and partners. Support requirements and plans for all technology and operational needs of the credit union. Work with BSA and Compliance officer to ensure the credit union maintains compliance with the federal laws and regulations set forth by the National Credit Union Administration and other regulatory agencies. Serves as the Operations lead for AffirmX audits. Develop strategic plans in relation to operational effectiveness and the overall strategic goals of the credit union. Participates in the rkGoBig Operations Council and serves as the functional liaison between the credit union and affiliated CUSOs to improve operational effectiveness. Hire, direct, recommend promotions, transfers, salary adjustments and evaluate employee performance for direct reports to ensure quality of work and services to members and co-workers. Work with auditors and examiners on annual and comprehensive audits. Assist in development and implementation of strategic plan. Establish consistent branch training program and direct training functions to ensure branch staff have the skills necessary to provide highest quality service to members, creating superior member service standards throughout the entire branch network. Develop, implement and maintain operational procedures to maximize effectiveness and quality of work and provide consistent quality service to members throughout entire branch network.

What You’ll Bring

5 - 10 years of similar or related experience Trustworthy and works with High Integrity Motivating or influencing others is a material part of the job. Excellent Communication Skills Thorough knowledge of credit union deposit, loan, and transactional products and applicable policies and standards. (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
