Role description: <br> <br>The Shift Supervisor organizes and directs during scheduled shifts of the forming, packing, carton, maintenance, and warehousing areas engaged in the manufacturing of quality glass containers within company and customer specifications <br> <br>Responsibilities:<ul> <li>Administer effective safety program ensuring full awareness and compliance of employees <br> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Provide necessary training updates while striving for safety excellence and complying with OSHA standards <br> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Maintain administrative records in a timely fashion to comply with job requirements and ensure accurate record keeping such as preparing work assignments for employees' schedules, attendance, grievance documentation, and production recording <br> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department with other departments and with the corporation <br> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Comply with environmental and food safety standards as set forth in plant policies and programs within the departmental responsibilities <br> </li> </ul> <br>Minimum skills / qualifications: <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent <br> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Three to five years of previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment <br> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a team-based environment <br> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Must have excellent leadership skills, interpersonal communication, and problem-solving skills <br> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Must possess strong planning and organizational skills <br> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite <br> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Must be open to working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat fumes and moving machinery <br> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Must be able to stand and walk for 90% of the shift while wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) <br> </li> </ul> <br>Preferred skills / qualifications: <ul> <li>Associate degree in a technical or business-related field <br> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Experience with Kronos <br> </li> </ul> <br> <b>About Ardagh Group</b> <br> Ardagh Glass Packaging is a global leader in glass packaging solutions, producing packaging for the world's leading brands.
