Position Responsibilities: * Monitor and evaluate patient on external and transvenous pacemaker. * Monitor and evaluate patient on specific drips e.g. Diprivan, Vasopressors, Paralytics etc. * Monitor, evaluate, document and troubleshoot patient's hemodynamic response and the use of critical care specialty equipment (e.g. IABP, CRRT). * Monitor, evaluate and document patient with Femoral Line Catheter. * Monitor, evaluate, document patient with Pulmonary Artery Catheter. * Monitor, evaluate, document patient on Continous Renal Replacement Therapy. * Monitor, evaluate, document patient on Ventilator support. * Monitor, evaluate, document patient on Intracranial Pressure Monitor. * Safely cares for Cardio Surgical patients who are hemodynamically compromised. * Performs initial vital signs and admission history to include introduction to patient and family. Assessment of chief complaint and notification of physician within 15 minutes of arrival to unit. * Obtains and documents a complete nursing admission assessment, including physiological and psychological factors to develop an interdisciplinary plan of care within eight hours of admission. * Performs and documents an accurate system assessment at the beginning of each shift. * Responds to diagnostic data and initiates appropriate action or intervention. * Establishes priorities for patient care based on patient needs, evidenced by completion of assigned duties within shift. * Verbalizes understanding of patient diagnosis and interdisciplinary plan of care. * Safely and correctly initiates and documents nursing interventions in emergency situations. Minimum qualifications: * Current/Valid Florida RN Licensure * BLS and ACLS Certification required. * Min 3 years exp in the area of specialty preferred.
