CT Head, NI AT&T IP & Optical

We are looking for an experienced Sales Executive capable of working within a team as well as independently to drive sales of Nokia's Network Infrastructure (NI) IP and Optical portfolio.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include: Be responsible for the business performance in your assigned Customer Team (CT) and geography, explicitly focusing on Order Intake and Revenue. Create a "hunting" and winning sales culture, that understands, anticipates and articulates customer needs. Develop/maintain excellent internal and external partnerships and drive customer requirements into the business unit product plans. Develop and maintain close relationships within customer's planning, engineering, operations, and marketing teams to anticipate customer needs, identify strategic projects, and proactively position Nokia for those opportunities. Become a "trusted advisor" to customers at all levels, and responsible for strategic and operational relationship management with customer executives. Define the CT Annual Plan (per Account/Segment and BU) and the individual targets for the individual contributors. Business Group (BG) pre-sales and bid management engagement. Work with Nokia's Regional Business Center (RBC) and BG staff to develop and drive the account strategy to position Nokia's NI portfolio into customers and convert that strategy into net new market share gains and revenue growth within the market segment. Recruits, motivates and leads a team of sales people responsible for executing the account strategy for assigned products/solutions. Works as team lead, setting and driving toward predetermined long-range individual and team targets. Developing and implementing business strategies, team and project objectives, and prioritizes work of self and team based on customer requirements and internal guidelines. Accountable for strategic customer(s) with significant business impact. Leads large sales team which may be located across countries / markets, as well as cross-functional business team (including pre-sales, etc) to achieve significant business targets with highly visibility and high impact. Manage team expense budget and ensure the team complies with Nokia corporate and team guidelines. Responsible for orders, sales, profitability and customer satisfaction of own account. Actively influences functional strategy to address internal and external business issues, and influences strategic decisions beyond own unit that significantly affect the performance of broader organization. Applies professional expertise, profound knowledge of the market, competition, and commercial environment to create long-term business impact and increase organizational capability. Proactively identifies and solves the most complex problems and thinks beyond existing solutions to create sustainable competitive advantage. Ensures strong alignment of directions between relevant organizational units. Drives thought leadership, the shaping of functional strategy and senior management advice typically within own market and sometimes with global leverage. Travel: up to 50% Other duties as required. Qualifications

You Have:

At least ten years of sales experience in a B2B environment within the telecommunications or high-tech industries. Selling to service providers is a plus. At least seven years of sales management experience running a broad team of sales/sales engineering resources and driving/motivating team toward aggressive pursuit of net-new business Broad knowledge of the telecom industry and competitor trends. Proficient business acumen in planning and organizing, information integration, decision-making and ability to achieve results while focusing on customer requirements and business success. Demonstrate mastery in team building and conflict management. Demonstrate proficiency in navigating internal processes and systems and supporting roles. Proficiency in CRM tools (CRM / Salesforces.com) for pipeline / funnel management and MS tools (Excel, PowerPoint and Word). Enthusiasm in keeping current on technological and market trends as well as competitive intelligence. Proven strategic thinking is required to leverage technical, marketing, end-user, and industry information to enable Nokia's and customer's success. Ability to identify and engage with all key stakeholders. Ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively. Ability to perform under pressure and excel in a complex selling environment driving consistent strategy across multiple customer sets. It would be nice if you also had:

Knowledge of Nokia NI portfolio, particularly in Broadband and IP networking. Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business or Marketing or equivalent experience. Masters preferred. Required Competencies
