Position: Accounting Manager

Department: 10-820: Accounting/Finance

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Location: Newberg, OR (Hybrid)

JOB SUMMARY

Position will be responsible for performing daily financial reporting, assisting in annual audits, analyzing variances, maintaining inventory, forecasting revenue/expenses, reviewing travel expenses and job costing margins.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform weekly bank reporting and transactions.
  • Analyze financial statements.
  • Reconcile accounts monthly for accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Coordinate financial responsibilities with the accounting team.
  • Ensure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles in reporting business transactions.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to achieve month-end close.
  • Assist in the annual audit process, including drafting financial statements and notes.
  • Month end close processing.
  • Research and analyze expense variances for management review.
  • Calculate budget variances and communicate significant issues to management.
  • Manage inventory of raw materials, forecast revenue, and calculate accruals for monthly reporting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Experience in international manufacturing is preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. Office and travel have moderate noise levels. Machine/Product demonstrations and customer visits can have loud noise levels.

Noise levels may be extreme and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided. Usage may be driven by customer requirements. Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, steel toe boots, hardhat and safety glasses, hearing protection. Customer site working environments can be extreme in regard to height, confined spaces, ambient temperature, physical requirements and hazards.
