State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)

Position Summary:
The State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. This position is PRN (per diem) and offers flexible hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
  • Monitor vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
  • Assist with transfers, ambulation, and positioning of patients.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and timely in the medical record.
  • Report any changes in patient condition to the registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
  • Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
  • Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Current STNA certification in the state of Ohio.
  • Basic knowledge of healthcare procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift and transfer patients.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
