Experienced Production Welder
Galion Godwin Truck Body Company
Four-Day Work Week (Monday-Thursday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm)
Successful candidate will perform set-up, adjustments, and operation of welding equipment. Examines the finished product to ensure conformance to specification and company quality standards. Successful candidate should have competent knowledge of various types of welding systems. Certification is not required. This is a Commission Only position, so you are in control of how much you can earn! The approximate average hourly rate for our current piece rate employees is $28.32!
The entry level guaranteed minimum hourly rate while you are in training is $21, but you could earn higher depending on your performance and experience. The current average hourly rate for our welders is $28.32. Our highest paid piece rate welder is earning $50 per hour!

Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Performs welding operations to truck bodies and other related equipment
· Ability to be at work at scheduled shift time
· Ability to lift sheet metal parts occasional up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to work in high volume fast paced team environment
· Must be able to read and comprehend safety procedures, work instructions and other procedural documents.
· Positions and clamps workpieces together or assembles in Jig or Weld Fixture.
· Makes proper set-up of welding equipment to ensure good weld quality and stays within specified parameters
· Examines finished product and welds to make sure everything is in conformance to specifications
· Inspects welds and checks critical measurements upon completion
· Follows all safety policies and procedures
· Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standard
· Performs additional related duties as assigned
