Mechanical Project Manager !
A leading Commercial Plumbing Service and Repair Firm in the area is looking to hire a Project Manager to oversee large industrial and civil plumbing projects throughout the Greater Chicago, IL region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all phases of mechanical/plumbing projects, including planning, design, execution, and close-out.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation ensuring cost-effective delivery.
  • Coordinate with clients and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to project teams, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and project staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure the team meets project milestones and deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities and prepare regular progress reports.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients, tenants, municipalities, and various other agencies including state and federal departments.
Desired Experience:
  • B.S. Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of demonstrated experience in industrial facilities and underground repair work.
  • Demonstrated experience leading design and construction professionals and coordinating day-to-day commercial job site activity.
  • Strong technical expertise in engineering principles, construction methods, and project management.
  • Expert ability to forecast timelines and project budgets.
  • Expert ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and documentation.
  • OSHA 40 required
  • Confined spaces and underground certifications highly preferred
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
