Responsibilities: Utilizes the nursing process as a systematic problem-solving approach to nursing care, facilitating an optimal level of functioning and health for the patient. Independently triages patients in person, via telephone and secure messages, utilizing protocols, guidelines, and standards. Uses critical thinking skills in making decisions regarding patient care, which includes knowledge and integration of relevant standards, resources, and data. Uses assessment and analysis skills in delivering medical regimens as directed by physicians and APPs. Delegates selected patient care functions to others in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence. Collaborates with the clinic team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience and stewardship. Fosters a learning environment for patients, families, and all members of the health care team. Advocates for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
