Our client in Columbus, OH is seeking a dynamic and experienced Civil Engineering Office Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering with 5-10+ years of practical experience. This role requires a keen understanding of various market sectors and proven experience in managing staff, office operations, and project schedules.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily office operations to ensure efficiency and productivity. Supervise and support engineering and administrative staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and ensuring client satisfaction. Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure project deliverables meet industry standards. Manage resources effectively to meet project requirements and deadlines. Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations and standards. Prepare regular reports on project status, office operations, and financial performance for senior management. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., P.E.) are a plus. 5-10+ years of civil engineering experience Extensive experience across municipal, institutional, industrial, commercial, residential, and utilities/energy markets. Proven experience in managing staff, office operations, and project schedules. Proficiency in civil engineering software and tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to anticipate and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
