Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.   *What You Will Do:* Raytheon, an RTX business, is looking for a *Senior Principal Systems Engineer, Systems Architect *professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in software and systems infrastructure and integration.  The Systems Architect will serve as a team lead, responsible for assisting in the development and management of the system/application architecture within the client space, lead the analysis of issues that directly affect the system architecture, and serve as a direct interface to the customer during important reviews, briefings, and technical exchange/demos.  To succeed in this role, you must have software development lifecycle experience using the Agile Best Practice methodologies and Cloud and Microservices-based system architecture.  Satellite ground system Mission Management, signals data processing, and MBSE experience are preferred as well.  The position is an onsite role in Aurora, CO. *Qualifications You Must Have:* * Prior experience in an application/system/cloud architect role. * Understanding of architecture design principles and governance.  * Ability to decompose, document, and communicate architecture rationale, approach, design and governance. * Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. * Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience *Qualifications We Prefer:* * Satellite ground system Mission Management experience * Experience with Signals data processing * Understanding of Digital Engineering principles including Model Based System Engineering (Cameo preferred) and DevOps/DevSecOps pipelines * Ability to create an architectural vision, communicate the vision, and manage a technological roadmap to execute towards the vision * Ability to work independently and provide technical direction to team members *What We Offer:* Whether you’re just starting out on your career journey or are an experienced professional, we offer a total rewards package that goes above and beyond with compensation; healthcare, wellness, retirement, and work/life benefits; career development and recognition programs. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
