Sr. Financial Analyst

A company with a dedicated team of employees is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst for a long-term contract / temporary project. A primary point of contact for all financial issues, the Senior Financial Analyst consultant will handle project spending, planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting. You will also implement analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements and also offer decision-making support for future company investments. This Senior Financial Analyst will be situated in North Billerica, Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

- Execute improved management reporting by working with Operations and Accounting to more discreetly and accurately track financial results

- Analyze financial results, distill/synthesize key trends, assess current and future business risks, and communicate critical updates to senior leadership all in the course of preparing monthly and quarterly management reports

- Cultivate positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership

- Provide assistance in ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests

- Create sustainable business, operational, and financial processes widely understood by all necessary teams

- Cultivate business performance through the use and execution of financial analysis

- Provide management reporting, accounting and compliance guidance, and ensure alignment of operational initiatives by working closely with the Functional leads

- Be able to analyze financial results, distill and synthesize key issues, communicate updates to senior management all in order to drive existing management reporting

- Possess strong Microsoft Excel skills

- Ability to apply critical thinking and critical decision making skills with management

- Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

- Demonstrated skills in process reengineering and optimization

- Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft PowerPoint

- Required education: BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or a related field

- Highly-accomplished in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended

- Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement

- Applicants need 5+ years experience in operations finance

- Able to work across teams and gain consensus of a group of individuals

- Workday experience preferred

- Command of financial modeling

- Comprehensive knowledge of budget forecasting

- Ad Hoc Financial Analysis experience

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
