Your Next Career Opportunity – Structural Engineer I

Under the supervision of the Sr. Manager, Structural Engineering, the Structural Engineer I has the responsibility of conducting structural analysis of communication towers which includes the creation of appropriate documentation and analysis reports. Communication towers include, but not limited to: monopole towers, self-supporting towers, guyed towers, etc.

What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities

Review tower structure and foundation. Perform analyses for existing and proposed configurations for structures including, but not limited to: towers, monopoles, and other antenna supporting structures.
Convert structural analysis performed in other tower analysis software to TNX and TES tower software. Assist in matching results.
Navigate tower analysis software and assist with performing analyses on projects of varying complexity using hand calculations and other accepted methods.
Manage structural calculations performed by manufacturer/engineering firms in house and ensure they are up to date and accurate.
Assist with the development of policies, procedures, standards, and code related activity.
Assist in the design of modifications for tower reinforcing, extensions, and foundations.
Generate required engineering reports for review.
Draw models in AutoCAD 2014 in 2D, as well as 3D.
Review shop drawings, structural drawings, calculations, and Tower Inspection reports.
Other projects and duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need – Qualifications & Requirements

Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Portuguese preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field of study;
and 0-2 years of related experience in analysis and design of structures and their foundations in both unit systems (US customary and SI systems). Experience with modeling, design, and analysis of vertical structures.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with AutoCAD 2014 preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with Finite Element Analysis or related Software preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with MATHCAD preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and intermediate proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.
