Clinical Therapist Part-time School Based/Outpatient Services

This part-time role is up to 20 hours per week , and designed to provide direct care and other related technical and clinical support activities that align with Empowering to Elevate Mission, Vision & Values. Reports To: Clinical Director or Clinical Supervisor Responsible for the clinical management of his/her assigned clients. Assists in identification of treatment/contract goals, completing the initial psychosocial assessment. Responsible for maintaining contact with the assigned clientâ€s referring/outpatient therapist during the course of the clientâ€s stay and the family when/if appropriate. Completes and updates treatment plan for assigned clients. Meets with clients†frequencies according to their treatment plans, to help explore identified issues and behaviors in relationship to current symptoms. Leads and participates in group meetings, meals and other activities in the milieu. Provides comprehensive understanding of current behaviors and relational dynamics while using a variety of therapeutic modalities. Attends the weekly team meetings and share observations, comments and important information about clients with the treatment team and provides input into the development of the weekly schedules for all of his/her assigned clients. Responsible for proper charting and ensuring that all documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner. Assists in meal/snack supervision as assigned and attends special occasion activities for the clients. Assists with discharge planning, including a written discharge summary and obtaining referral sources and necessary support systems once the client is discharged. Depending on credentials and/or licensure, may serve as a preceptor and/or clinical supervisor to graduate students while they are completing an internship at Empowering to Elevate. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications related to Empowering to Elevate Mission and population. Perform other duties as required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to use a computer; proficiency in Word and Electronic Health Record (EHR). Bachelors or Masters†Degree in Social Work, Counseling; independent licensure preferred; two years previous experience preferred. Valid Ohio Driverâ€s License and maintains a driving record that allows that individual to be insurable with the insurance company providing Empowering to Elevate with vehicle insurance. Willingness to travel for various reasons, mainly during the day but occasionally overnight. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong teamwork and organization/time management skills. Physical Demands: Ability to handle bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, reaching, and walking for periods of time. Must be able to lift 20 pounds independently. Must be able to remain alert to problems, needs or emergencies that might arise on any shift, maintaining a safe environment for the clients.
