Title : Specialist V Location : 2077 Gateway Place, Suite 550, San Jose, CA, 95110 Duties : Responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing Mott MacDonald Systems Integration testing and completing Safety and Security Certification. Responsible for the implementation of Mott MacDonald's Systems Integration Test program plan. Oversee Test Discipline Engineers who are responsible for the implementation of Systems Integration Testing programs for their assigned discipline. Apply design review, installation, testing and commissioning of multilayer transmission systems to provide connectivity and control for traction power, signaling, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) and all station-related communication systems in a collaborative approach to evolve a system solution that satisfies Mott MacDonald's contractual obligation and client expectations. Review test procedures and deliver processes. Provide systems test engineering leadership for all systems and subsystems requirements and ensure all activities are resourced, planned, documented, and achieved in accordance with the agreed schedules. Work closely with all other discipline leads and professional external engineering teams to ensure delivery of fully coordinated, complete, and coherent documents, to meet systems tests and integration requirements. Monitor and evaluate system tests progress in relation to communication systems and other related assets. Collaborate with senior managers to drive change and meet the needs of the clients. Manage change in system requirements. Manage and maintain communications system test requirements baseline through the project lifecycle and schedule. Manage the design impact of any change in requirements. Manage related communication system engineering risk and identify and manage technical interfaces between communication systems and other sub-systems within project defined boundaries and third parties. Position is fixed location based in San Jose, CA office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed. Up to 50% domestic travel is required based on customer demands. Requirements : Requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a directly related field plus 3 years of experience as a Specialist, Engineer, or any occupation/position/job title involving leading a major transport project. Experience may be gained concurrently and must include three (3) years in each of the following: Applying knowledge of quality assurance and quality control processes Experience may be gained concurrently and must include two (2) years in each of the following: Managing major construction projects Reviewing test procedures for Systems Integration Testing (SIT) and Field Acceptance Testing (FAT) Preparing contract documentation including specifications, drawings, and manuals Performing communication systems design including CCTV, Access Control, SCADA, PIDS, RIDS, UON Network, Train Control, Electrical, Fire Life Safety, Fair Collection, or general communication systems Experience with integration testing Evaluating change in process or testing requirements Receive and accept results for various testing, including Factory Acceptance Testing, Field Acceptance Testing, and Systems Integration Testing. Multiple Positions. Salary: $120,000 - $126,000/year.
