Position Summary: The

Project Engineer’s

focus is to oversee a project’s technical initiatives, ensuring that all engineering-related tasks align with project goals, standards, and requirements. This involves planning, design, coordination, and execution of engineering projects. Responsibilities: Schedule, execute and control unique projects with customers and internal stakeholders utilizing Microsoft Project and/or other scheduling tools. Read, understand, and execute projects to the specifications and scope defined in the contract documents and specifications. This may include project work for government facilities with high documentation requirements and liquidated damage penalties. Strong, responsible leadership of internal teams and external vendors with positive, concise communication including kickoff and meetings with documented agendas and meeting minutes. Identify, document, and control engineering submittal approvals, change orders, risks, and opportunities per the applicable specifications. Validate ongoing availability of materials and resources to meet production schedules and delivery commitments. Monitor and control the projects to resolve material shortages and uphold the contracted schedules. Identify, document and control costs and expenditure schedules to authorize and execute the projects within the project budget and on time. Development of concept drawings with guidance from Supervising Engineer. Required Skills/Abilities Excellent communication and positive interpersonal and relationship building skills, complemented with excellent MS Office and file management skills. Experience with the development of layout drawings for structural, mechanical and hydraulic systems. Assisting sales department with the development of project estimates and bid proposals. Established analytical skills, focused on the ability to identify, and implement creative solutions to complex problems. Skilled in the concepts, processes, and procedures required to actively manage and control project schedules using PMI-based project management principles and tools. Ability to work independently or in a team environment while demonstrating the skills needed to effectively minimize and resolve conflict. Ability to handle high-impact situations with maturity, confidence, and respect. Strong time management and analytical skills. Qualifications/Education and Experience Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer or Scheduler Microsoft Office experience required, with excellent Excel skills Microsoft Project scheduling experience required; Desired Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher; consider equivalent work experience. Clean Driving Record Pass drug test Submit to a background check Proficient with use of AutoCAD/SolidWorks. Work Environment This is a full-time onsite position; 8-hour days, Monday through Friday, with occasional travel.
