As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for collaborating with senior chefs to create dishes that make a lasting impression. - Prepare a range of dishes in a high-volume production setting
- Follow recipes for menu preparation, ensuring adherence to cooking guidelines and standards
- Execute food preparation tasks, showcasing expertise in food presentation
- Maintain consistent cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
- Ensure HACCP and WHS compliance, displaying a strong commitment to meeting Food Safety standards including conducting temperature and quality checks and effectively managing cross-contamination
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef is required
- Solid background in kitchen operations
- Minimum Level 3 Certificate in Commercial Cookery
- A passion for food and creative flair
- Demonstrated track record meeting financial targets for food and labor costs
- Flexibility to a work a variety of shifts over a 7 day a week roster including morning, days and nights
- Reliable own transport as some shifts are not supported by public transport to and/or from the airport
