OVERVIEW:

The team behind a 100-year old quaint boutique inn in the Catskills seeks a Sous Chef to join the team. Following an extensive renovation and reimagination of the property, the Inn has welcomed guests back since the fall of 2019. With over 12 acres of bucolic country grounds, bordered by a creek, the Inn features 15 unique and artfully furnished guest rooms + cottages. The Inn is meant to pay homage to the storied past of the Catskill Mountain region, its former great resorts, and camps. It evokes the glory days of a time gone by when the Catskills were the premier vacation and recreation destination for the entire region.


The team seeks candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment and dedicate time to expanding our clientele base to establish the restaurant's brand and reputation.


Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day culinary operations

Coordinatefood and kitchenware orders

Check freshness and quality of ingredients

Assist in the developmentof menu items

Standardize recipes and plate presentations

Work with management to create a memorable experience for guests


Qualifications:

Previous experience in culinary arts, cooking, or other related fields

Knowledgeof cost and labor systems

Passion for food and cooking techniques

Strong leadership qualities

Ability to thrive in a fast-pacedenvironment
