Dietary Aide

Hourly rate range: $15.00 - $20.69 / hour

Pay dependent on skills, years of experience, and education/certifications.

Job Summary: Are you passionate about food service and nutrition? Join our team as a Dietary Aide at Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital. In this role, you will help prepare therapeutic and modified diets for patients, as well as meals for employees, visitors, and special functions.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain proper temperature for hot and cold foods
• Follow written and verbal instructions and recipes
• Assemble and deliver patient trays
• Portion, weigh, and garnish food according to menus and specific diet instructions
• Assist patients in completing menus
• Clean and sanitize assigned areas
• Organize and manage time effectively

Qualifications:

• Possession of a food handler's permit
• Training in food preparation for therapeutic diets preferred
• Recent institutional cooking experience preferred
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines preferred
• May be required to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, or night shifts
