The Platform includes Developer Experience and Tools, Continuous Integration & Deployment, Infrastructure Tools and Runtime, Network/Traffic Management, Reliability, and Observability. The person in this role will craft the future of the Platform to align with developer and business needs, maximizing the effectiveness, efficiency, and impact of Expedia Group development teams. What you’ll do: Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Developer Platform, including defining and optimizing the end-to-end developer journey

Define how to measure developer experience, productivity, and reliability, and drive a strategy for setting and meeting business and organizational goals while adapting based on feedback loops

Lead cross-organizational and cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Experience Design, Strategy, and Technical Program to deliver world-class Platform capabilities which meet business needs

Deeply understand latest industry advancements for developers, including those related to AI/ML and the CNCF landscape, and conduct build vs. buy analysis to make roadmap recommendations, fostering ROI-based decisions

Communicate and influence senior stakeholders across the organization on product direction and business outcomes/ROI

Drive product launches and measure product performance using data-driven methods

Build and manage a prioritized backlog for a portfolio of products, and align the roadmap with Expedia Group’s strategy

Coach other product leaders to advance technical product management practices, craft customer journeys/meaningful personas, and deliver concise communications

Advocate for improving technical gaps and the architecture design process; understand the ramifications of tech debt and participate in prioritizing tech debt reduction initiatives

Who you are: 10+ years of experience in technical product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology

Masters in business administration or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience

A proven record of accomplishment of delivering and growing internal and external developer experiences, platforms, and ecosystems

Hands-on experience in introducing new technical products, processes, and tools for developers and in working in complex cross-functional global settings

Deeply familiar with latest developer experience industry advancements and CNCF landscape

A customer-obsessed, data-focused, and results-oriented mindset

A passion for technology and delighting customers with new and innovative products and services

Strong leadership and collaboration skills, and the ability to lead product and engineering teams in a fast-paced environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to synthesize a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality, simple capabilities that delight developers

Strong problem-solving ability within the product management domain; has a proven track record of addressing complex product-related issues, driving completion of development timelines, optimizing processes, and driving innovative solutions

A strong passion for travel and belief that travel is a force for good .

Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $353,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
