SUMMARY

Family Service League is seeking a full-time, Master’s-level Social Worker for the DASH (Diagnostic, Assessment, and Stabilization Hub) Crisis Center. The DASH Crisis Center is a 24 hour per day, 7 day per week outpatient crisis stabilization program that includes a 24-hour crisis hotline and mobile response team. The Social Worker will be responsible for intake assessments, providing therapy in an individual or group setting, and completing clinical documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Social Worker will provide crisis assessment, brief intervention, and suicide prevention support as part of a 24/7 Crisis Stabilization Center.
  • Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks to make clear decisions that are in the best interest of the client and the organization.
  • Provide information, offer referrals to additional services, (including mobile response team and crisis stabilization program) and provide aftercare follow up calls.
  • Complete all clinical documentation in an electronic medical record (EMR), in accordance with NYS Office of Mental Health regulations.
  • The Social Worker will coordinate with outside providers, collateral contacts, and other stakeholders.
  • Complete training and maintain proficiency with de-escalation and techniques for crisis intervention.
  • The Social Worker will establish and maintain positive working relationships with others.
  • Attend routine supervisions and team meetings.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree required. LMSW or related licensed, clinical degree preferred.

At least 6 months of experience in a behavioral health setting required. Clinical experience preferred.

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, required. Experience with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) preferred.

Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills required.

Valid and clean NYS Driver’s License required.

Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Evening and weekend availability required.

Holiday availability as needed.
