The Town of Sharon is seeking a full-time (40 hours/week; 7am-3:30pm, M-F) Facilities Supervisor. Responsibilities include: Managing day-to-day town public building operations, and custodial and skilled trades staff; Serving as a technical resource to the Superintendent of Public Works and Standing Building Committee to identify construction and maintenance needs and develop short- and long-term solutions to improve activities; Helping to carry out response plans by assisting the DPW Operations Supervisor with overseeing snow removal and other emergency response activities; Coordinating public building projects; and Organizing the work staff and contractors to ensure efficient expenditure of town funds. Qualifications and Experience: Associate's Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field; five (5) to seven (7) years' progressively responsible experience in facilities management or building construction work, with a minimum of three (3) years in a construction supervisory role or building maintenance is preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicable building trades licenses in HVAC, plumbing and electrical desirable. Starting Salary Range: $80,155 - $85,700 annually, depending on qualifications and years of experience plus generous benefits including health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts and retirement plans.
