Offering a19,199-seat multi-purpose arena and 565,000 total square footage designed to accommodate concerts, family shows and other special events and has been named on multiple occasions one of the country's best venues. Responsibilities: Assist with the supervision of the daily, event and post cleaning personnel. Perform cleaning and janitorial tasks as required or assigned. These include, but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, stripping and waxing. Provides efficient and safe removal and disposal of the litter and trash from the building, meeting rooms, walks, parking areas and lawns. Maintain equipment; make minor repairs and inventory of stock. Assist with the clean-up before, during and after events. Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Performs other tasks as assigned. Direct the daily tasks of part time custodial employees and ensure completion of tasks. Qualifications:
Demonstrate knowledge of the industrial cleaning techniques, chemical and industrial paper products, and janitorial equipment. Possess skills and experience in supervising /training personnel. Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with other in both oral and written form. Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results. Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment. Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur. Operate a personal computer using Windows, Office and other standard office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Meet the physical demands of this job, which include being able to get in and around the facility (requires personal mobility) lifting, carrying, moving, climbing steps in a moderate to loud environment. Able to operate light equipment: pallet jack, light truck, scrubbing machines, floor machines and other light power-driven equipment.
