INVENTORY CONTROL ANALYST Job Category** : Inventory Control Requisition Number **: ANALY002012 Showing 1 location Job Details Description Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an Inventory Control Analyst at our Salem, Virginia corporate headquarters. The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for performing maintenance and adjustments to inventory files on a daily basis to maintain current and correct information. Will work with store personnel, DBS and reports to maintain accurate parts inventory. Will occasionally travel to other store locations to provide training and work on projects. Seeking candidates who are able to effectively communicate and network with Carter Machinery personnel throughout the company. Parts knowledge preferred; college degree a plus. Requirements for the Inventory Control Analyst position include:

  • Self-starter able to work with limited supervision
  • Must have excellent data entry skills and the ability to process a large volume of work.
  • Able to efficiently and professionally handle a large number of phone calls.
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Able to adjust to changing job priorities.
  • Strong PC skills required (word processing, spreadsheets, database, and e-mail).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as required by job. Physical requirements must be met for the Inventory Control Analyst job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
