ADON for Assisted Living Facility

SUMMARY

Administers resident healthcare program in the assisted living facility to maintain standards of resident care, and advises staff, department supervisors, and administrator in matters related to resident healthcare service by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES

Organizesand plans the Healthcare services of residents to ensure their needs are met inaccordance with instructions of physician orders and Stones River Manoradministrative procedures Consultand assist Director of Nursing with nursing department issues with residents oremployees Helpmaintain an atmosphere of teamwork and harmonious environment for residents andstaff Assistwith Resident Assistants' performance reviews Consultwith resident families as needed or required Assistwith maintaining inventory and supply stock Medcart review for cleanliness, accurate placement of medications on cart,separation of medication by route administered, and accuracy of dated materials Coversthe role and duties of Director of Nursing in their absence Shareson Call duties in a rotation assigned by the Director of Nursing SUPERVISORYRESPONSIBILITIES

Manages2 or more subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 20 or more employeesin the A/L and I/L Healthcare Department Manages1 or more non-supervisory employees Overalldirection, coordination, and evaluation over the unit Carriesout duties and responsibilities under the organization's policies andapplicable laws AssistsHuman Resources in interviewing, hiring, and training employees Plansassignments and directs work for employees Appraisesemployee performances, addresses complaints, rewards, and disciplinesemployees, and resolves problems as needed QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATIONand/or EXPERIENCE

Graduateof a school of nursing Sixmonths to one-year related experience and/or training Equivalentcombination of education and experience CERTIFICATIONS. LICENSES and/or REGISTRATIONS

Valid State Registered Nurse Licenseor Practical Nurse License Cardiopulmonary ResuscitationCertification LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to speak, read, comprehend and write in English Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to family members, residents, and other employees MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures andamounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages,area, circumference, and volume Ability to create and edit MicrosoftOffice documents REASONING ABILITY
