Travel OT/CHT Certified Hand Therapist Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapist with Hand Therapy experience in Linden, NJ.

Our Outpatient Physical and Occupational Therapy Clinic is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist/ Occupational Therapist (OT) or Occupational Therapist with Hand Therapy experience. Must have experience with dynamic splinting/upper extremity.

  • $2100-$2300 net (after tax take home) per week.
  • Local Contract rates: $55-$60 per hr.

  • 40 hours per week guaranteed
  • 1:1 Treatments, 60 min eval, 60 min follow up treatments.
  • Flexible schedule: 5/8, 4/9, 4/10, or 4/9 and 4 hrs. Open to 32-40 guaranteed hours per week.

We are seeking:

  • Graduate from an accredited college with an AOTA curriculum.
  • CHT certification preferred.
  • One or more years (s) of Hand Therapy experience as a CHT in the outpatient orthopedic setting within a private clinic or hospital-based outpatient preferred.
  • Current state OT license, CPR certification.
  • An outgoing and energetic personality.
  • Creates treatment plans in accordance with instructions and consent of referring physician;
  • Evaluates patient treatment programs in coordination with the medical staff;
  • Performs written re-evaluations in preparation for patients return for follow-up Physician appointments, or at a minimum documents progress every six (6) therapy sessions;
  • Provides services that help improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients;
  • Fabricates custom-made splints, and communicates with the physician to ensure the patient receives the correct splint;
  • Supervises the technicians or aides to ensure any interaction with any patient is within their scope of practice;
  • Meets or communicates regularly with a variety of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and case managers to ensure successful patient treatment outcomes;
  • Documents evaluative findings, treatments administered, the assessment of patient response to treatment and treatment plan, and other relevant information;
  • Provides excellent customer service engaging in the use of clear, comprehensive, and frequent communication with patients, family members, or other members of the rehab team
