COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Howco, Inc. was established in 1969 as an organization focused on the design and implementation of Car Wash Systems. Howco’s s goal is to assist car wash owners and operators in optimizing their return on invested capital. Utilizing the latest marketing data, equipment, and processes, Howco employees aid in sales, project planning, installations, parts, chemicals, and service in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic geographical areas. With expertise in conveyor tunnels, in-bay automatic systems, hand wash programs, and self-service car washes, Howco is uniquely qualified to assist prospective and existing car wash operators in maximizing their profitability.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position reports to the Corporate Controller and will work closely with the CFO and the accounting team in the following areas:

Conduct monthly and year-end close followed by accurate and timely preparation of company and departmental financial statements (experience with consolidations a plus).
Responsible for day-to-day management of all accounting transactions, including but not limited to, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, etc.
Review and develop internal financial controls to ensure integrity of financial data, protection of corporate assets, and adherence of corporate policies.
Works in conjunction with Corporate Controller in performance of treasury activities and maintains cash forecast.
Oversees/performs job cost and profitability reports.
Develop tools to assist department heads in preparation of annual budgets.
Assist in analysis and interpretation of operating results and financial statement trends.
Assist in the development, preparation and analysis ad-hoc and KPI reports.
Assist in the development of performance metrics to identify issues and opportunities within the organization.
Assist managers with departmental financial reports, including actual vs. budget variance analysis.
Assist with inventory analysis, internal controls and oversight.
Drive continuous improvements for accounting-related processes.
Participate and assist in management of financial audits.
Supervise team of 1-2 including.
Performs other duties as requested.

KEY REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Education, & Experience

BS or BA in Accounting.
2-4 years public accounting and/or CPA preferred, with some private industry experience.
Strong IT and accounting systems experience, with proficiency in Excel including graphs, queries and pivot tables.
Experience with Sage and NetSuite a plus.

Skills & Key Competencies
Excellent communication skills, a proven track record of contributions to financial controls, and outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to allocate time and resources efficiently to ensure tasks/projects are completed accurately and timely, focusing on ever-shifting priorities. Self-starter with the ability to multi-task.
