X-Ray Tech
Location: Devens, Massachusetts
Job Type: Part Time
Shift: Monday-Friday (8AM-4PM) 6 hours per day
Summary: We are looking to employ a dedicated and skilled X-ray Technician to take quality X-rays of patients' bones, soft tissues, or organs as instructed by their physicians. This location services male inmates requiring specialized or long-term medical or mental health care at a federal center.
Responsibilities : Included but not limited to
- Administers complete radiologic procedures following physicians' providers and maintains equipment used in the radiology department Maintains a close working relationship with medical officers receiving guidance and technical support.
- Sets up x-ray rooms, assuring that needed supplies and equipment are ready
- Performs general radiography, which includes, but is not limited to: chest x-rays, colons, UGI's, EXU's, tomography, arthrograms and other contrast studies
- Maintain current records of radiographs and distribute reports in the electronic medical record computer program
- Conducts quality improvement studies, implements recommendations
- Explains appropriate instructions to patients who will undergo radiology procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or associate's degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or a related field
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- At least one year of experience
- Ability to pass a background and drug test
