About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a Senior Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their physical and emotional well-being, and supporting their independence.

Responsibilities
  • Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
  • Assist residents with basic health care needs, including daily living activities, such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support.
  • Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
  • Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
  • Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
  • Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.
  • Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum age of 16.
  • Two years' clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing.
  • Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
