Description

The Shipping Material Handler position will service internal and external customers quickly and accurately by picking up finished goods from production departments, stocking and pulling finished goods in the Shipping department, verifying accuracy of orders and inventory, and loading and unloading trucks. Additionally, all Material Handlers are responsible for keeping the warehouse and their assigned work areas safe and clean.

The essential duties of the Shipping Material Handler position include, but are not limited to:

Pull finished goods orders for shipment.
Verify the accuracy of batches and tickets.
Load and unload trucks.
Perform cycle counts and other inventory responsibilities.
Use scan guns.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications of the Shipping Material Handler position include, but are not limited to:

Proven attendance and work record.
Previous warehouse and/or material handling and forklift experience with ability to be forklift certified.
Ability to stand, walk, lift and carry up to 50-75 lbs continuously throughout the shift.
Strong attention to detail.
Proficient computer, scan gun, data entry, and math skills.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
Previous inventory experience (preferred).

Compensation and Benefits

The pay rate for this position is anticipated to start at $19.20 per hour.
